1882 - 1970:
Early Foundations

1882

The First State Bank of Rush City was chartered, marking the beginning of our legacy.

1914

People’s State Bank in Augusta was founded. 

1933

Red Lake County State Bank began serving its community. 

1970

Peoples State Bank in Augusta was purchased by Glenn Solsrud. The Solsrud family’s commitment to the bank has continued to this day.

1983 - 2020:
Expansion and Growth 

1983 - 1990

Under Glenn Solsrud’s leadership, several banks were acquired: First State Bank of Rush City, First National Bank in Crosby, Security State Bank in Staples, and Red Lake County State Bank.

2005

The five bank charters under Solsrud ownership were unified under the name Unity Bank. A new branch was also acquired in Fall Creek, WI.

2006

Unity Bank expanded with a new branch opening in Genola, MN.

2007

A significant merger occurred, combining Rush City, Crosby, and Staples banks into Unity Bank MN, while Red Lake Falls was rebranded as Unity Bank North.

2008

Unity Bank opened a new branch in Edina, MN.

2015

Unity Bank expanded further by purchasing branches in Neillsville and Fairchild from Nicolet National Bank.

2019

The three bank charters—Unity Bank WI, Unity Bank MN, and Unity Bank North—were merged into a single entity known simply as Unity Bank, owned by the Solsrud family. The new unified bank charter is headquartered in Augusta, WI, with 15 branches spread across WI and MN. Rachel (Solsrud) Goodell became the CEO of the merged bank.

2020

Unity Bank continued its expansion by purchasing a branch in Polson, MT.
